A young bride in Zambia has been spotted in a viral series of photos cooking with her teeth on her wedding day.
Tribune reported that according to a woman, it was a traditional practice in Bemba community in Zambia.
According to her, it proved that a woman can still care for her husband even if she loses her limbs.
The Bemba are one of the larger ethnic groups in Zambia, and their history is a major historical phenomenon in the development of chieftainship in a large and culturally homogeneous region of Central Africa. The word Bemba originally meant a great expanse like the sea.
Traditional Bemba society is matrilineal where close bonds between women or a mother and daughter are considered essential.
