Pictorial: Slain Owo Catholics get mass burial

A mass burial was held on Friday for the worshippers of the St. Francis Catholic Church worshippers, Owo, Ondo State, who were killed by gunmen, on June 5, 2022.

Punch Metro had earlier reported that the mass funeral for the dead victims was slated for today, June 17, 2022, which kicked off at 9 A.M local time.

The Catholic Diocese of Ondo state is the officiating church of the funeral service, happening at Otapete Emure Road, Ondo State.

Security operatives including military personnel, men of the Nigerian police force, operatives of Nigeria and civil defence corps and men of the Amotekun outfits have manned the location of the event.

Expected to be in attendance are the Governor of the state, Rotimi Akeredolu and other top political officials.
