The operatives of the Nasarawa State Police Command have arrested a suspected motorcycle snatcher, Ibrahim Isiaka, who cut ‘Okada’ rider’s throat and made away with his bike at Masaka in the State
Spokesperson for the State Police Command, DSP Ramhan Nansel, disclosed this in a statement on Thursday, adding that the arrest was carried out by Police operatives attached to Masaka Division.
He noted that Ibrahim Isiaka, a resident of Riverside, Masaka, allegedly conspired with another individual to rob a commercial motorcyclist.
Nansel said that the incident occurred when Isiaka boarded a commercial motorcycle, intending to travel to Bigmali along Jankanwa road in Masaka.
Meanwhile, during the journey, Isiaka reportedly attacked the motorcyclist with a knife, cutting his throat and stealing the motorcycle.
“While on transit, Ibrahim Isiaka used a knife and slit the throat of the commercial motorcyclist and snatched the motorcycle.
“Police operatives swiftly rushed the victim to the hospital, where he was stabilized and responding to treatment.
“A thorough manhunt led to the arrest of the suspect and recovery of the stolen motorcycle, while effort is ongoing to arrest the other suspect at large,” the statement read.
