The Nigerian Police Force, through the National Cybercrime Centre, has arrested one Odia Theophilus, 24, and Ebo Junior Success, 25, over alleged N91million internet fraud.
This was disclosed by the Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, through a press statement on Tuesday.
He said that the suspects are responsible for computer-generated fraud, identity theft, cryptocurrency fraud, and obtaining money by false pretence.
“The duo run a syndicate specializing in defrauding unsuspecting victims from foreign countries by assuming appealing identities of other persons and promising them romantic relationships, under the pretext of which they defraud their victims.” He stated.
