The operatives of the Adamawa State Police Command with the joint effort of the local hunters have sixteen people in connection with kidnapping and armed robbery activities in the State.
This was disclosed on Sunday by
the Command’s Spokesperson , Suleiman Nguroje, made this known on Sunday, saying the security operations were conducted by joint efforts of operatives of the police and local hunters.
The 16 were rounded up during security operations in parts of the state, mostly in Mubi North, Gombi, and Fufore Local Government Areas.
“The operatives (of the Police) apprehended the suspects in a joint patrol with local hunters,” Nguroje said.
The PPRO disloseed that six AK-47 rifles and other weapons were recovered from the suspects.
“On completion of investigation, the command will charge them to court for prosecution,” Nguroje assured.
Nguroje further said that the state Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola, particularly commended the local hunters for their role in arresting the suspects, and appealed for support from everyone to strengthen the police for greater performance.
