Popular human rights activist, Aisha Yesufu, has reacted to the performance of a Nigerian music artiste, Portable, at the Nigeria Bar Association concert.
It would be recalled that Portable had on Thursday, August 31, 2023, performed at the NBA concert titled ‘Unbarred,’ at the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja.
However, Some lawyers who were not happy with the invitation of the Zaa Zoo crooner to concert, furiously staged a walkout on him, as the NBA President, Yakubu Maikyau announced Portable to the stage, while others filled with wild excitement, to vibe to his songs.
The legal practitioners had a week-long NBA annual conference which started on Sunday with the theme: “Getting it Right and Charting the Course for Nigeria’s Nation Building,” where President Bola Tinubu gave a key note speech.
Portable in a now viral video, was seen climbing the poles to entertain the lawyers in the late hours of Thursday, while some lawyers who were comfortable with his kind of performance, took video and photos of him.
In her reaction to Portable’s presence at the concert, Yesufu opined that the artiste was a step-up considering, that the NBA also invited President Bola Tinubu.
She wrote: “After inviting Tinubu who was disdainful of them during campaign season, Portable is actually a re-branding and doing better for them.”
