Paris Saint-Germain secured their 12th Ligue 1 title after Monaco’s 3-2 victory over Lyon, edging out their closest rivals for the championship.
Despite PSG’s 3-3 draw with Le Havre, the result guaranteed their coronation.
Monaco, starting 12 points behind PSG, needed a win against Lyon to keep their slim title hopes alive.
Wissam Ben Yedder put Monaco ahead within the first 30 seconds. However, Lyon’s Alexandre Lacazette and Said Benrahma turned the match around before half-time.
Ben Yedder’s second goal gave Monaco hope, but Malick Fofana’s late strike sealed Lyon’s win and PSG’s title.
This victory adds to PSG’s successful season, which already includes winning the Trophee des Champions against Toulouse.
Luis Enrique’s side are also set to face Lyon in the Coupe de France final on May 25.
PSG’s next challenge is in the Champions League, where they face Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals.
