Embattled French Forward, Kylian Mbappe has been re-integrated back to the Paris Saint-Germain first team.
This was disclosed by popular Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano on Sunday.
“PSG have decided to reintegrate Kylian Mbappé into the first team! Club statement on Mbappé situation.
“Following very constructive and positive discussions between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG-Lorient game, the player has been reinstated into the first team training squad this morning”, he tweeted.
PUNCH METRO reported that Mbappe was moved to PSG second team after he refused to extend his contract with the French Ligue 1 giant.
The forward declared in May that he did not want to extend his PSG contract, which expires next year, but indicated he wanted to remain at the club for a final season.
“I still have a year left on my contract and I am going to honour my contract,” he said.
That would allow him to become a free agent next summer and leave PSG for nothing, a prospect that club president Nasser al-Khelaifi said was “impossible”.
“We can’t let the best player in the world today leave for free,” Khelaifi said.
