Popular Nollywood actor and Politician, Yul Edochie, has shown his support for President Bola Tinubu-led administration.
In a post shared on Saturday via his X handle, Yul posted a picture of himself wearing a white cloth with a picture of Tinubu on it. Inscribed on the cloth was, “Relax, Jagaban will fix Nigeria”.
The word ‘Jagaban’ means ‘leader of warriors’. It was formed from the chieftaincy title bestowed on Tinubu in a town in Northwest Nigeria: “Ja a gabar borgu” which means “the leader of Borgu land or in the Yoruba Language the Asiwaju of Borgu land”.
Yul, in the tweet, wrote, “Asiwaju boy. 100%. Unapologetically. I love Tinubu. @officialABAT. I believe in him. And I’m praying for him to succeed.”
Following his proclamation, tweeps have reacted to his post, especially, coming from an Igbo man towards a Yoruba ruler.
@EleyiLagos wrote, “Your father Peter Edochie will be proud of You, Yul Edochie.”
@MisterJonahh criticized him heavily writing, “Lmaooo!! You should be praying for yourself to succeed in your marriage.
“I heard this same thing when Buhari won in 2015. Chude and co were praying for him to succeed but he ended up being the worst leader in the history of this country.
“I’m not bothered because I know even this BAT is already a failure. No amount of prayer can change that. Anyways, enjoy the bars you collected you shameless man.
