The Nigerian rapper and ‘Calm Down’ crooner, Divine Ikubor, popularly known as Rema has entered Guiness World Book of Records.
The young artist’s ‘Calm Down’ hit the number one on the official Middle East and North Africa chart.
According to the official website, the official MENA chart monitors streams from Apple Music, Deezer, Spotify, Youtube and Angamy – the Arab’s world first legal streaming download platform which was initially launched in Lebanon in 2012.
The first top 20 featured tracks by Egyptian vocalist Farid and Ahmed Saad, Saudi Arabia’s Ayer and K-pop phenomenon Jung Kook of BTS firm in addition to internationally renowned artists such as Ozuna, Same Smith, Shakira, Drake and Taylor Swift.
The Benin-born has now joined the league of top Nigerian artists like Femi Kuti and Wizkid to enter Guiness World Records.
