The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has received one of the 276 Chibok schoolgirls, Rebecca Kabu at the presidential villa, Aso Rock.
This is coming nine years after their abduction by Boko Haram on April 14, 2014.
According to Channels, Tinubu received the abducted Chibok girl alongside the wife of the Vice President, Mrs Nana Shettima.
The first lady vowed to ensure that the former schoolgirl is well taken care of medically and fit to return to school willingly.
“Rebecca will be our first comeback story and returnee, she is our first fruit; she is a case I am quite interested in to see that she can go back to school at her own pace,” she said.
While ensuring that the other captive females are not forgotten, Senator OluRemi Tinubu thanked the National Security Adviser’s office, the National Intelligence Agency, and other security agencies for their assistance in Rebecca’s rescue.
