The Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice in Rivers State, Zacchaeus Adangor, has resigned from his position.
This was made known in a letter addressed to the state governor, Siminalayi Fubara.
In the letter, Adangor said his resignation was “based purely on personal reasons”.
It was speculated that his resignation may not be unconnected to the political crisis rocking the state.
Meanwhile, sources close to Adangor disclosed that he resigned because of the unconstitutional presentation of the budget by the Governor Siminalayi Fubar, to five members of the house of assembly, as well as the demolition of the state house of assembly complex on Wednesday.
