Al Nassr manager, Rudi Garcia, has confirmed that Cristiano Ronaldo’s debut match for the club would be in a friendly match against Messi’s Paris Saint-Germain.
Ronaldo was benched for the first of two domestic games for the Saudi Arabian club on Friday after being suspended by the English FA for hitting a young fan’s phone following Manchester United’s defeat at Everton in April.
Garcia has now confirmed that he would also miss the league fixture against Al Shabab but make his debut against Ettifaq on January 22 unless he plays against Lionel Messi’s PSG in a team made up of players from Al Nassr and Al Hilal in Riyadh on January 19.
Confirming the report to French newspaper L’Equipe, Garcia said, “It [his debut] won’t be with the Al Nassr jersey. It will be a mix between Al Hilal and Al Nassr.
“For development, to see PSG, to see the great Parisian players, indeed it is a good thing. But we have a championship game three days later.”
