Al Nassr coach Rudi Garcia has stated that Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo will return to play European football before he finally retires.
Account to Skysport, Garcia has stated that the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will not extend his two-year contract in Saudi Arabia and will instead return to Europe when he turns 40.
Garcia thinks the Portugal veteran still has a lot to give despite his early difficulties in the Arabia, and that he will return to Europe before his playing career is done.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is a positive addition as he helps clear defenders. He’s one of the best players in the world. He won’t finish his career at Al Nassr, he’ll go back to Europe.” Garcia said.
Ronaldo had spent his whole professional career in Europe before joining Al Nassr at the end of December. After rising through the ranks at Sporting CP, he went on to play for Manchester United (twice), Real Madrid, and Juventus before moving to the Middle East.
