Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has rewarded six exceptional civil servants with cars in recognition of their remarkable contributions to the state’s public service.
The presentation took place on Friday at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Ikeja, during the ”Governor’s Lunch With Outstanding Officers.”
Sanwo-Olu commended the awardees for their unwavering commitment and resilience.
The event spotlighted 210 civil servants, comprising 117 senior and 93 junior officers, with six individuals ultimately recognized as the most outstanding.
Reflecting on their achievements, Sanwo-Olu remarke, “Earlier today, I met with some elderly citizens, and they were all full of praises for each one of you; they were all full of praises for what we’ve done. Let it be said that we’re the best out of all the states in the country. So, we don’t mince words when we say that we are the best civil servants in the country.”
He further highlighted the state’s leading position in public service excellence, emphasizing the need to maintain high standards.
“Let’s be clear that our heads are held up high. It’s time we continue to reflect excellence in the public service and all we do. The reward for hard work is more work,” the governor added.
