Colombian singer-songwriter, Shakira, is reportedly moving to Miami after signing a child custody agreement with her ex-partner, Gerard Pique.
While fans have been speculating whether she will move with her two children, Milan and Sasha, in June after the end of their school year or in the next few days, Spanish media outlet OK Diario has suggested a new reason for her potential move.
According to the website, Shakira may have found love with a mysterious man she allegedly met in Miami several months ago.
OK Diario’s report stated: “It seems the Colombian singer could have found a new illusion in the shape of a mysterious man she apparently met in Miami and has been in contact with for four months.”
However, the website didn’t offer any further information, except to mention that the man is not her former flame, Antonio de la Rua, who she dated before meeting Pique.
A representative for Shakira denied the claims when asked by MailOnline. Meanwhile, Shakira expert Laura Fa, one of two journalists who regularly report on the artist for Catalan newspaper El Periodico, had earlier suggested that the move could take place on April 1.
Shakira’s decision to move to Miami comes after signing a child custody agreement with Pique in December.
The couple, who split in May 2021 after 11 years together, confirmed in November 2021 that they had reached an agreement.
As part of the accord, retired footballer Pique, who is now dating Clara Chia, 23, will spend holiday time with his children.
Initially, the poor health of Shakira’s 91-year-old father, William Mubarak, was cited as the reason why she had dropped plans to move to Miami at the start of the year.
However, the recent hospitalisation of her mother, Nidia Ripoll, in Barcelona due to a blood clot in her leg has left fans unsure of when Shakira will make the move.
