Nigerian actor and singer, Adams Kehinde, widely known as Lege Miami, hosted his much-anticipated “Singles Hookup Matchmaking End-of-the-Year Party” on Sunday at the Radisson Blu Hotel in the GRA Ikeja area of Lagos State.
The free-entry event drew a massive crowd of singles eager to connect and potentially find love as the year winds down.
The overwhelming turnout quickly made waves on social media, where attendees and observers shared their reactions.
An X user @abdullahayofel remarked, “Lege Miami Single Matchmaking End of the Year Party 2024. See how the ladies are plenty.”
Meanwhile, @Alice_Blondelle praised the event, tweeting, “Lege Miami recently hosted an exclusive party catering specifically to single individuals, and it seems the event was a resounding success. The guest list was filled with eligible bachelors and bachelorettes, all looking to mingle and potentially find that special someone.”
Not everyone was fortunate enough to enter the packed venue.
Frustrated attendee @KingDiamondplus shared, “Lege Miami show was so hilarious than painful yesterday. After preparing for days and not still yet unable to enter the premise because of crowd.”
Similarly, @the_lateefah noted, “Lege Miami doesn’t joke with this his matchmaking business. Man even threw an event. The turnup of people at the event wasn’t small too.”
Following the event, Lege Miami expressed his heartfelt gratitude in an Instagram post on Monday, thanking fans and supporters for their overwhelming response.
“See crowd. 2024 singles hookup matchmaking end-of-the-year party. Thank you, lovers,” he said.
In another video, he extended his appreciation to those who supported him financially.
“Thank you, Nigerians, I’m grateful. I want to thank all the people that supported me for this last event. I thank all the givers that brought out money to support me.”
Lege Miami acknowledged the challenge of managing the unexpected crowd size and vowed to secure a larger venue for next year’s event.
“We got a massive crowd that Radisson hotel couldn’t contain everybody. Next year, I’ll get a bigger place in GRA Ikeja,” he said, further apologizing to those who couldn’t gain entry.
Switching to Yoruba, he added, “I apologise to the singles who were present but couldn’t come in. We won’t host the event at Radisson next year, but it’ll be in GRA on the mainland.”
Lege Miami’s commitment to matchmaking extends beyond public gatherings.
In an earlier interview with The PUNCH, he confirmed that his services also cater to high-profile individuals, emphasizing the seriousness of his work in helping people find love.
