The Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed the appointment of German coach Bruno Labbadia as the new Head Coach of the Super Eagles, the country’s senior men’s national football team.
This makes Labbadia the 37th individual to take on the role.
The announcement was made early Tuesday by the NFF’s General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, on the association’s official social media handle.
“The NFF Executive Committee has approved the recommendation of its Technical and Development Sub-Committee to appoint Mr. Bruno Labbadia as the Head Coach of the Super Eagles,” Dr. Sanusi stated. “The appointment is with immediate effect.”
Labbadia, who brings a wealth of experience from his coaching career in Germany, is expected to lead the Super Eagles through their upcoming international fixtures and tournaments.
The NFF expressed confidence that his tactical knowledge and experience will bring new direction and success to the team.
