In the UK, the vinyl record market has predicted that American singer, Taylor Swift, will have sold the most records there in 2022.
According to a review of Official Charts data conducted by the British Phonographic Industry, the 33-year-old American singer-ninth songwriter’s studio album Midnights has sold more than 80,000 vinyl copies this year so far (BPI).
When the album was published in October, it quickly set a number of records, including becoming the album with the highest day stream volume on Spotify.
In the 21st century, no other album has sold as many vinyl copies in a calendar year as Midnights, according to BPI.

The industry group predicts that former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher’s album C’mon You Know will come in fourth and that the debut album from Isle of Wight indie rock band Wet Leg, Wet Leg, will come in at number five.
