Thugs disrupted a conservative student event at the University of California, Davis on Thursday, targeting members of the student group Turning Point USA just before a scheduled session.
According to a viral video circulating online, the disturbance unfolded during a “Prove Me Wrong” event held at the university’s Memorial Union Quad.
Despite the chaos, the gathering, which featured former police officer and popular YouTuber Brandon Tatum as guest speaker, went ahead as planned.
Turning Point USA’s founder, Charlie Kirk, revealed that members of the group were physically attacked and event materials were vandalized.
“While our people were under attack, police stood aside and did nothing,” Kirk posted on X, adding, “Our team is understandably shaken up, but they assure me they will not back down.”
UC Davis authorities confirmed the altercation in an official statement, noting that protestors confronted both the student organizers and other attendees.
“The UC Davis Police Department took one report of an assault,” the statement read, emphasizing that “no one requested medical aid.”
