President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed heartfelt condolences to Jigawa State Governor, Malam Umar Namadi, following the death of his mother, Hajiya Maryam Namadi.
Hajiya Maryam, a respected matriarch and prominent figure in her community, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, and has been laid to rest in Kafin Hausa, the governor’s hometown, in accordance with Islamic traditions.
In his message, President Tinubu commended the late Hajiya Maryam for her dedication to community service and urged her family to honor her memory by continuing her philanthropic initiatives.
“The legacy of service and compassion she left behind is something her family and community can be proud of. I encourage her loved ones to sustain her good works as a way to keep her memory alive,” the president remarked.
President Tinubu also comforted Governor Namadi and other grieving family members, emphasizing the enduring impact of Hajiya Maryam’s exemplary life.
“Her contributions to her community will not be forgotten. I pray that the family finds strength in the good name she has left behind,” he said.
