President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is currently presiding over his inaugural Council of State meeting at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
According to The PUNCH, the meeting, a significant gathering of top government officials and former leaders, aims to provide counsel on critical national issues.
In attendance are former Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan, while former Heads of State Yakubu Gowon and Abdulsalami Abubakar are participating virtually.
Notably absent is former President Olusegun Obasanjo, who has previously expressed support for public protests against recent government policies.
The Council of State, which includes the President, Vice President, former Presidents, and other key officials, serves as an advisory body on policy decisions and other matters of national importance.
