The world record holder in the 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, has been named Nigeria’s flagbearer for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
This prestigious selection reflects her exceptional achievements, including her world-leading time of 12.40 seconds earlier in 2024, establishing her as a key medal contender.
In addition, the Nigeria Olympic Committee has appointed Badminton star Anuoluwapo Opeyori as the general captain of the Nigerian team.
Opeyori, a veteran with significant international experience, will play a crucial role in guiding and uniting the athletes.
As the Games commence on July 26, both Amusan and Opeyori are set to be central figures in Nigeria’s pursuit of success in Paris.
