Nigerian celebrity media personality Toke Makinwa, on Wednesday disclosed that she was robbed in London.
According to a post she made on Snapchat, she stated that she lost her valuables to robbers during the incident.
She wrote, “Just got robbed in London. I am speechless. All my valuables are gone. Gosh, how could this happen to me.” This is coming days after the Federal Government warned Nigerians about increased spate of robberies in the United States, the United Kingdom and other European countries.
It would be recalled that Nigerian singer, Yemi Alade, was lamented being robbed few days ago.
Also, the Federal Government on Tuesday advised Nigerians traveling to the US, UK and any European country to be wary of thieves who dispossesses travelers of their belongings.
According to the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammad, “The most recent victims of this are travelers to the UK, most of whom were dispossessed of their belongings at high-brow shops, particularly in the high street of Oxford.
“We have therefore decided to advise Nigerians travelling to Europe and the United States to take extra precautions to avoid being dispossessed of their belongings”.
