British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, has emphasized that Tottenham Hotspur’s victory over Manchester City on Tuesday night is crucial for their chances of qualifying for the Champions League.
Morgan made this assertion in a statement via his X following Aston Villa’s thrilling 3-3 draw with Liverpool at Villa Park on Monday night.
The draw leaves fourth-placed Villa in a favourable position to finish ahead of Spurs.
Unai Emery’s Villareal team currently has 68 points, which is five points more than Tottenham, who have two remaining fixtures.
“So, with that Villa draw, Spurs MUST beat City tomorrow night or they won’t have any chance of qualifying for the Champions League.
“Perfect scenario for Arsenal to win the League.
“Come on @SpursOfficial – you can do this, you useless wastrels,” Morgan wrote.
