The Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress, Omoyele Sowore, has stated that the murder of the Lagos lawyer, Barrister Bolanle Raheem, should be treated as a triple homicide.
He stated this through a Twitter post on Thursday.
He wrote, “The murder of Barrister Raheem Bolanle by the @PoliceNG officer in Lagos should be treated as Tripple Homicide since her two unborn babies are involved.
“We must end the culture of impunity by the @policeng, end the use of deadly assault weapons especially AK-47 in handling civil matters.”
PUNCH METRO earlier reported that Raheem’s unfortunate demise occurred on Sunday, Christmas Day, after a policeman, identified as ASP Drambi Vandi, shot at her car in the Ajah area of Lagos State. According to the reports, Raheem, her sister, and four children were coming from an eatery in their car around 11am when the cop tried to stop them.
Raheem was trying to make a U-turn under the Ajah Bridge when the cop shot at her vehicle. The bullet was said to have hit the victim and she was immediately rushed to a hospital afterwards, where she was confirmed dead.
