It has been reported that some vehicles carrying INEC election materials broke down in Cross River State on Thursday, causing a standstill and requiring security agents to divert traffic.
In an internet video, the trucks were seen clogging up one lane as other vehicles managed the other.
The materials conveyed are headed towards deployed to Northern Cross River ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
The witness who had recorded the video could be heard saying, “This is the video of electoral materials that were carried to be deployed to Northern Cross River. Some trucks broke down so everybody is on standby, Nothing is moving, along Army junction.
“All INEC materials are stuck with people diverting traffic and following one way. The other lane with the broken down trucks conveying INEC materials is blocked.”
