The main entrance of the University of Lagos is currently experiencing a significant deployment of security personnel, in response to the planned student demonstration slated for Wednesday morning.

The protest is in opposition to the recent increase in tuition prices.

Men of the Department of State Services , police and the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority were on the ground to disrupt the planned protest

As of 9:42 am, access to the campus has been restricted due to the presence of students loitering near the entrance.

An anonymous student, who requested confidentiality, reported being subjected to tear gas dispersal earlier today while attempting to assemble and engage with journalists.
