The ravaging earthquakes and several aftershocks in Turkey and Syria have reportedly claimed at least 4000 lives since it started on Monday morning.
Various videos and pictures have surfaced online, showing buildings collapse and thousands trapped within these buildings and several others injured.
In a more recent video shared on his Twitter handle on Tuesday, British broadcaster, Piers Morgan, reported that the death toll had climbed up to 5,000, 20,000 injured and 6,000 buildings collapsed.
He wrote, “So many horrific scenes coming out of Turkey & Syria after the earthquake. Nearly 5000 people now confirmed dead, 20,000+ injured, & 6000+ buildings have collapsed. They need the world’s urgent help. 🙏”
