LAFootball fans have taken to social media to react to the debut march of new Chelsea signing, Joao Felix, who was red carded in his debut match.
Chelsea co-owner, Todd Boehly temporarily obtained the services of the Portuguese international for €11 million.
He is also expected to earn the sum of £250,000, per week at Stamford Bridge.
However his debut match ended sour for him as he was sent off for a nasty tackle on Kenny Tete in the 58 minute.
Felix is now set to miss the next three league games, meaning he’ll be unavailable for the meetings against Crystal Palace, Liverpool and Fulham.
Below are some reactions
@Poojamedia, tweeted, “6 months loan deal is now 5 months after the red card for Joao Felix.
Straight red is a 3-match ban i.e. One month off from the loan deal.
With the loan fee & the red, this could go down as a “waste” of money.
Tough for Potter”
@Gboski, tweeted, “Joao Felix young pensioner. Wouldn’t work for 1 month but will receive salary. This na d kind prayer seyi vibez pray 4 that him song”
@Jacobsben, tweeted, “Joao Felix can’t have any complaints. A reckless challenge. He’s been desperate to impress all game, and looked really lively, but on this occasion it was rash and a clear red card. Sad way to end his debut.”
@Yaw_Ampofo_, tweeted, “Despite the RED CARD, Joao Felix had the most shots, most dribbles and created the joint most Big chances for Chelsea.
Definitely a good addition 👏🏾”
@Joe Prince Wright, tweeted, “Joao Felix’s loan was supposed to be for 21 Premier League games but after that red card it now becomes an 18 game loan.
That means the loan fee alone will cost Chelsea $666,666 per game. Devilish start for Felix. #CFC”
