Following his Monday official declaration of interest to contest for the forthcoming 2024 governorship election in Edo State, under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Several reactions have trailed Deputy Governor Philip Shuaibu’s decision, to run for the number one seat in the state.
In its earlier reports, Premium Politics revealed that Shaibu officially declared his intention to contest in the State governorship election at a press conference in Benin City, the state capital on Monday, November 27, 2023.
The Deputy Governor during the event attended by the bigwigs in the Peoples Democratic Party across the 18 Local Government Areas of the state, said in the last seven years, he has worked closely with Governor Godwin Obaseki, to lay a solid foundation for progress in Edo State.
The 53-year-old politician declared his governorship ambition under the Peoples Democratic Party ahead of the November 2024 election in the state.
