Federal Road Safety Corps has disclosed that a hit-and-run driver injured two pedestrians, a man and woman, on the Badagry end of the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, leaving them hospitalised.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria, The Commander of FRSC, Badagry Unit, Mr William Manga, made this known on Friday that the accident occurred at 8.20 p.m. on Thursday.
He pointed out that the command received information on the accident at 8.25 p.m., and its men arrived at the scene at 8.30 p.m.
“The accident occurred at Car Wash, Itoga Junction axis of the Badagry Expressway. It involved an unknown car driver.
“The victims sustained various degrees of injury and fractures,” he said.
Manga noted that the victims were rushed to the Emergency Unit of the General Hospital, Badagry, for treatment.
He revealed that N6,980 was recovered from the victims.
The FRSC unit commander enjoined pedestrians to be cautious while crossing expressways.
Manga urged motorists to observe speed limits and other traffic rules and regulations.
