Tragedy has struck the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board, with the death of four pilgrims, including Salman Alade and Ayishat Ologele, who recently passed away in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, while performing the Hajj pilgrimage.
The deaths of Alade and Ologele followed those of Saliu Mohammed and Hawawu Mohammed, who died earlier in Madinah.
According to The PUNCH, the latest report took the death toll among the Kwara pilgrims to four.
Ologele, it was gathered, fell ill while travelling from Medina to Mecca and died afterwards, while Alade fell ill in Mecca and passed away as well.
While the exact causes of their deaths had not been officially confirmed, it was believed that they died of natural causes.
The development was confirmed by the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board in Saudi Arabia.
The board commiserated with the families of two pilgrims as the Executive Secretary, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, expressed condolences to the families, asking Allah to grant them comfort and forgive the deceased.
