Nigeria’s Tima Godbless secured her ticket to the Paris 2024 Olympics in spectacular fashion on Saturday.
At the NCAA East Regionals in Lexington, United States, she blazed through the women’s 100m event, setting a new personal best of 11.03s.
While she finished second to McKenzie Long of the USA, who won in 10.92s, Godbless’s performance was nothing short of exceptional.
Not only did she qualify for the Olympics, but Godbless also earned a spot at the NCAA Championships.
Her journey to the championships was marked by another outstanding feat when she clocked a massive personal best of 22.63s in the 200m quarterfinal.
Meanwhile, Rosemary Chukwuma is also set to shine at the 2024 summer Olympic games.
