The emergence of the All Progressives Congress’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, as the president-elect of Nigeria in the just concluded presidential election has continued to generate various reactions from Nigerians on social media.
Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, was declared the president-elect after the 70-year-old polled 8,794,726 votes to win the 2023 presidential election.
He defeated Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party and Peter Obi of the Labour Party to emerge the 16th democratically elected president of Nigeria.

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose tweeted, “I congratulate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on his election as the next President of Nigeria. As the presidential election comes to an end, I urge other contestants, especially Atiku Abubakar to accept the outcome in the overall interest of our country. There will always be another day.
Also, Congratulating the president-elect, @Simwal, tweeted, “Congratulations, President-elect Ahmed Bola Tinubu!
May Allah Give you the zeal to overcome the daunting and threatening challenges we are facing in Nigeria, instil in you fear so that you will lead justly towards the development of our county, ameen”.
Sharing a different opinion, @Omoelerinjare, tweeted, “Peter Gregory Obi will be the first president of Nigeria đŸ‡³đŸ‡¬ that will get his mandate from the supreme court, after serious revote of the people, intervention of the army and set of interim government committee to be in place, Tinubu will not be sworn in be rest assured”.
Also @AjeboDanny, tweeted, “APC corn boys are celebrating too soon. If you think Tinubu will stay President amidst the irregularities in these figures and no display of uploaded results then you have another thing coming.”
