Real Madrid have received a timely boost ahead of their UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg clash with Arsenal on Wednesday.
Manager Carlo Ancelotti, during his pre-match press conference on Saturday, confirmed that midfielder Dani Ceballos has returned from injury and is back with the squad.
Ancelotti stated that Ceballos will be in contention for selection in both their upcoming matches against Alaves in La Liga and Arsenal in Europe.
“He’s available for tomorrow and for Wednesday,” Ancelotti said about Ceballos.
The Spanish midfielder was absent during Madrid’s 3-0 first leg defeat at the Emirates Stadium last week.
His return is crucial for the Spanish giants, especially with Eduardo Camavinga suspended after receiving a red card in the first leg against the Premier League side.
The winner of the tie between Real Madrid and Arsenal will go on to meet either Aston Villa or Paris Saint-Germain in the semi-finals.
