High ticket prices have resulted in nearly 20,000 unsold seats for Arsenal’s pre-season match against Manchester United at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, United States.
The game, set in the 70,000-capacity venue shared by the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams and Chargers, has only seen 51,000 tickets sold so far, according to Mail Sport.
Ticket prices range from $126, £97 for the cheapest to a staggering $667, £516, for the most expensive, deterring some fans from attending.
Arsenal’s pre-season kicks off early Thursday morning against Bournemouth at Dignity Health Sports Park.
United, having already played two matches, recently lost to Rosenborg but secured a 2-0 victory over Rangers at Murrayfield.
Leny Yoro debuted for United in that game, with Andre Onana, Amad Diallo, and Jadon Sancho also making appearances.
Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Victor Lindelof missed the match due to minor injuries, and Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay, and Tyrell Malacia have yet to join the U.S. tour.
Arsenal’s 26-player touring squad includes key players such as Martin Odegaard, Ben White, Gabriel Jesus, and Jurrien Timber.
Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli, and Kai Havertz will join from July 25.
However, Declan Rice, Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, David Raya, and William Saliba will not travel to America following their extended Euro 2024 commitments.
