A student of the Federal University Lokoja simply identified as Jeremiah has been nabbed by the police operatives in Kogi State for the death of Damilola, a 100-level Biology student.
The suspect, a man in his 20s from Kaduna State, allegedly abducted Damilola, demanded and received a ransom of N400,000 from her family, and then brutally ended her life.
According to reports, he removed her vital organs for rit3al purposes.
In a viral video, Jeremiah confessed to the crime, stating, “I kidnapped her, but she was trying to escape, she already saw my face.” He claimed this as his motive for killing her.
After the heinous act, Jeremiah contacted Damilola’s family again, demanding an additional N10 million.
However, police tracked him down and arrested him. During interrogation, he confessed to acting alone and led authorities to where he had left Damilola’s remains.
