The National Association of Nigerian Students, South-West zone, had on Monday, blocked the Lagos-Shagamu Expressway during a protest against the ongoing strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities.
Punch Metro reported that ASUU began its strike on February 14, 2022, and the failure to reach an agreement with the Federal Government has dashed hopes of an imminent resuption.
As seen in videos made available to this publication, commuters were left stranded as a result of the protest as security personnel were also spotted at the scene to maintain order amidst of the protest.
