Croatia, having defeated the Atlas Lions of Morocco 2-1, claimed the third place postion in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
With a header in the sixth minute from Joško Gvardiol the Croatians had an early lead in the game, making the 20-year-old, the youngest ever goalscorer in the national shirt.
Two minutes later, Morocco’s Achraf Dari immediately equalised with a header of his own, giving Morocco a lifeline in the game.
Croatia, dominating possession for the most part of the game, in the 42nd minute, Mislav Orsic lobbed a curling ball over the Morocco keeper with power, clipping the inside of the far post to rebound into the opposite side netting.
