A man known as Musa Suleiman, identified as the father of a four-year-old girl arrested by the Nigerian Police for posting indecent photos of her, has said that he wanted her to become a model.
Speaking with the police in a video shared on social media by @General_Oluchi, he explained that he dressed her in skimpy clothes to make her famous, emphasizing that she should not be used for comedy.
“I don’t mean to harm anybody. I’m used to watching skit of other people. I knew she is too small for comedy. I decided to bring her up in a model way. Giving her modeling trends.
“This month is her birthday. I went to do her birthday ‘bash’ and posted it on Instagram around 11 am,” he said
When asked if he thought he did was right thing for his daughter, he said, “To my understanding I want her to become a celebrity.”
When probed further he remained mute.
This incident sparked reactions from social media users, with some suggesting that the child should not be returned to the father.

That child needs to be taken for proper medical attention to ascertain what have happened to her in the dark.”

I feel for the little girl, she’s unfortunate to have a grown-up child as a father. Also born in a lawless country where absolutely nothing works.”
Suleman was arrested by the Edo Police Command for involving his three-year-old daughter, Sarah Suleman, a child model, in inappropriate content on social media.
The incident occurred in the Auchi area of the state.
In a statement released by the spokesperson for the State Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor, on Sunday, it was revealed that Musa Suleman posted indecent pictures of his three-year-old daughter, Sarah Suleman, a child model, on her recently deactivated Instagram page, @officialsarah_ig.
The pictures exposed sensitive parts of her body as she posed erotically.
Some viral videos sparked reactions from Nigerians, with calls for the arrest of Suleman. Concerns were raised about the safety of his daughter in his custody, amid fears that she might be exposed to pornographic activities or subjected to sexual abuse for financial gain.
