Popular Nigeria singer, Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, professionally known as Bella Shmurda, has explained why he would not pay last respects to his deceased friend-cum-brother, Ilerioluwa Promise Aloba, better known as MohBad.
The “Vision 2020” crooner disclosed via a post on his X formerly known as Twitter handle, explaining that he wouldn’t do because as far as he was concerned, Mohbad lives forever.
Following the controversial death of Mohbad on Tuesday at 27, netizens have continued to shower Bella with encomiums, applauding him for being a true friend to the “Blessed” singer while he was alive.
The “Cash App” crooner stood by and supported Mohbad even when most colleagues, friends and even family deserted him during his perilous moments.
With the demise of Imole as he was fondly called, many have also expressed worries over Bella’s mental health and wellbeing, claiming he’s been robbed of his ‘blood brother’ and exposed to deep grief.
The passing of Mohbad made Bella so upset and dejected that he had to cancel his Canadian tour, promising to announce new dates.
As all and sundry join hands on deck in demanding justice for Mohbad, the Dangbana Republik act in a recent tweet mentioned he wouldn’t visit the graveside of the deceased to display any courteous expression either by word or deed of regard.
Bella tweeted, “Badman will never rest. King of south and the west…
“I won’t pay any last respect because you still live 4L.”
