The Delta State Police Command has taken a man and his second wife into custody following the tragic deaths of three sisters in the state.
The sisters, all from the same parents, had been visiting their father at his residence in the Delta Steel Company Township, Oruwhorun, Udu Local Government Area, when they were found dead under suspicious circumstances.
Sources indicated that the sisters did not live with their father, as he had remarried after their mother’s passing, but they occasionally visited him.
“The incident has sent shock-waves through the community, especially as it comes less than a year after the death of their biological mother. Their father remarried shortly after their mother passed on, with the stepmother reportedly being a close friend of the late woman (their mother),” a source disclosed.
Reports suggested that the sisters had returned from a birthday party the previous evening, only to be discovered lifeless the next day, foaming at the mouth.
Confirming the incident, Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, Edafe Bright, stated, “We are treating this as a suspicious death and are exploring all angles. The public will be updated as we make progress.”
Two Arrested Over Engineer’s Murder in Delta

Though the incident reportedly occurred in December 2024, new details have only recently come to light following the arrest of two individuals linked to the crime.
A community source revealed that “the suspects, identified as Tiv youths from Benue state, allegedly killed the Engineer and concealed his body in a shallow grave inside a farm.”
Police have since exhumed the body as part of their ongoing investigation.
Confirming the arrests, Edafe assured, “We are aware of the incident and our men are working to ensure others involved are apprehended.”
Both cases have left the respective communities in shock, as authorities intensify their investigations.
